This Whitby 42 has
been owned by Bill and Ann Hastead for many years. They know
the waters of the Virgin Islands and all the creatures in them
like the back of their hands. Along with the combination of a
good boat, great sailing, wonderful scenery, and fabulous food
you cannot fail to have an enjoyable time here aboard Corus. The
cruising itinerary is yours to choose - do as little or as much
as you wish.
You are, after all, on your personal private
floating hotel. Wake up when you like and enjoy a leisurely
breakfast, go for a dip or a snorkel in the gorgeous blue water.
Later you can bay hop and beach comb or sail, sail, sail all
day.
Enjoy a champagne picnic on a sandy cove, kayak the shoreline or
scuba dive one of the BVIs fascinating reefs or wrecks directly

Anne’s cooking is

is a sleek, well found, roomy and fast greyhound of a
sailing yacht.
She is in top-notch condition for you to
enjoy in the large well appointed guest cabin, built for
two. She has expansive decks for sun bathing or while
savoring that Sun Downer when the sun sinks below the
horizon (watch for that green flash—it’s real!) Charles and
Leslie have been sailing these waters for many many years.

Captain CHARLY ZAHR, is the Chef and owner, and is an Open Water
Diver (PADI). He developed his experience on the Atlantic Coasts
of Argentina and the Caribbean for several years. While studying
Electrical Engineering at the Univ. of Buenos Aires, he realized
the magnificence and joy of life on board, alternating studies
with his career as musician and singer (always being the
principal attraction in every social event, where ever you
wanted to have a moment of joy and unforgettable fun).
With a
spirit of adventure and the BVI licensed captain decided to turn
his dream into reality, sailing through the most beautiful
Caribbean landscapes, sharing his spirit with those who want to
enjoy life. His engineering skills and applied technical
abilities combined with his excellent seamanship, grant you

Yacht Liberte’ is strong, beautiful and is ready to take you
anywhere. She is a true ocean-going vessel with thousands of
miles under her capable keel. Your skipper is 61 and started
sailing at the age of 12 in an old wooden sloop which he bought
for ten dollars in Cape Town, South Africa.
Captain Gordon Monson is one of the most accomplished (and
hilariously irreverent, I might add) skippers there is. He has
represented South Africa in world competitions in Hawaii,
France, the USA and at home, and raced the 1993 Cape-to-Rio
Trans Atlantic. He was a qualified Marine surveyor for Lloyds of
London and specialized in Marine Losses.
Gordon has sailed in excess of 100,000 nautical miles, has
completed 8 major ocean crossings and has worked, chartered and
sailed the Islands of the Caribbean for 10 years, from Trinidad
in the South to the British Virgin Islands in the North.
Hobbies and interests are, predictably, sailing and meeting
interesting people, water-sports and reading. Gordon is a
qualified skipper and has obtained his Yacht Master
certifications.
His fun and capable crew will see to your every need.

Yet another of my favorite Monohulls, Stenella, with Captain
Andrew Woodruff is simply a sailing machine, and lovely inside
and out. He and his capable crew have been a fixture in these
waters for so many years. He knows the area...well.
Very well.
He scouts wildlife everywhere, and films the experience for his
guests. Charter in late winter, early spring and sail with the
Humpback whales! I’ve had excellent reviews from this lovely
yacht.
